Brother HL-2040 Reset
There has been several times where as we have come across a issue with the Brother Printers. This is when toner light, remains solid, even after replacing the toner and/or drum. This is an issue as the printer will not allow any documents to be printed.
The fix for this issue is this.
1. Open the bay door.
2. Shut off the printer.
3. Remove the toner and drum unit.
4. On the toner, there is a small blue slider, slide this 30 times.
5. Insert the toner and drum unit back into the printer.
6. Hold the “Go” button and power up the printer.
7. Wait 2 seconds and release, you should now see all lights blink and turn solid.
8. Once all the lights are solid, hit the “Go” button 5 times.
9. This will reset the printer and toner count.
